I can assess and manage people with a wide range of communication and swallowing problems including:
- Aphasia - difficulties with understanding or word finding, reading or writing or problem solving
- Apraxia - a difficulty with motor planning which results in difficulty getting messages from the brain to the organs required for speech including lips and tongue.
- Dysarthria - A motor speech disorder resulting in slurred speech.
- Dysphonia - a voice disorder resulting in hoarse voice, quiet voice, monotone voice, difficulty changing pitch
- Cognitive Communication Disorders - difficulties with memory, initiation of speech, conversational repair, eye contact, turn taking, understanding of metaphor
- Developmental stammering in adults - repetition of sounds, syllables or words or blocking
- Oral and Pharyngeal stage Dysphagia - swallowing problems
